Basic Requirements
A career in the construction industry is full of exciting challenges and opportunities. The work is tough, but you'll feel good at the end of the day knowing you built something that will last. Successful candidates are able to meet the following basic requirements:
At least 18 years old
Candidates for the apprenticeship programs must be at least 18 years old upon program entry.
driver's license
Candidates for the apprenticeship programs must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Reliable
Candidates for the apprenticeship programs must be reliable and on-time — class attendance is mandatory.
Collaborative
Candidates for the apprenticeship programs must be collaborative and willing to learn.
math skills
Candidates for the apprenticeship programs must have functional math skills.
working in a variety of elements
Candidates for the apprenticeship programs must be comfortable working in a variety of elements (heat/snow) and environments (high areas/confined spaces).
diploma or GED
Candidates for the apprenticeship programs must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
